infection caused by the bacteria\u00a0<\/span>staphylococcus<\/em> is referred to by several names: <\/span>staphylococcus<\/strong>, staph infection, staph septicemia, staph arthritis, bumblefoot, and plantar pododermatitis.\u00a0all fowl, especially turkeys, chickens, game birds and waterfowl, are susceptible to this infection.\u00a0staphylococcus is found in the soil, and outbreaks often occur after storms when birds on range drink from stagnant rain pools.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

staphylococcal infections appear in three forms: septicemia, arthritis, and bumblefoot.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
